Averatec  uses just a couple DC jacks that are different only by the pin size. All jacks are in stock and repair will be done the same day.

This laptop is not that old but already has an issue like any other averatec.

Taking the monitor off, the bottom top cover to access the power jack.

Removing the board where the old jack was at.  As you can see due to extreme shorting of the jack with the casing (that is always ground) there is an excessive melting / burning on the casing.

As you can see the insulation did not held through and the dc power jack burned through the insulation.

As you can see a positive leg of the dc power jack isn't making a good contact with the board because of melting around the tracers.
